This incredible documentary is a must watch for any indie gaming fan.

Indie Game: The Movie is a film that will hit close to home for many indie gaming fans. Following the developers of the popular indie games Super Meat Boy, Braid, and Fez, this documentary shows the hard work and robust imagination that these games require. It is a treat to watch these developers lay out the thought process of their games from inception to polished product, complete with every piece in between.  Many other indie titles make cameos throughout the film, including a few of my personal favorites,  Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery,  Minecraft, and Limbo.

Any fan of indie games, or gaming in general should check this movie out. It is an excellent film that captures the pleasant aesthetics and digitized tunes we all appreciate from indie games, while showing the raw, stressful and human side of the process to get these games into a player’s hands to enjoy.

Indie Game: The Movie can be purchased here, or viewed on Netflix instant play. Enjoy!
