Right when we thought our bank accounts were recovering, Skylanders brings a new entry for us to spend all of our savings on. Get ready for Skylanders Swap Force.
Swap Force focuses on 16 new collectable characters that can have their upper and lower sections of their body swapped, allowing for 250 different combinations. A small handful of characters have already been shown, including an octopus-like pirate (who looks eerily similar to Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean), two different robots, and a bomb with rockets for arms. In addition to the 16 Swap Force characters, 32 core characters will also be released, including 16 brand new Skylanders and 16 updated versions of older characters, and another eight LightCore Skylanders.
The actual mechanics of these new features have yet be revealed, but chances are we will hear more about Skylanders Swap Force during the NYC Toy Fair on Sunday, February 10. Stay tuned for more information.
