A colossal Attack on Titan announcement was made this weekend at Anime Boston 2014. FUNimation released the world premiere of the Attack on Titan English dub. The first 3 episodes were shown on Saturday accompanied by a panel including Mike McFarland (Director, Jean) , Josh Grelle (Armin), Matthew Mercer (Levi), and Trina Nishimura (Mikasa). An encore 5-episode marathon was then shown on Sunday.
Leading up to the premiere, the mystery surrounding who would voice the English dub for Eren Jaeger was finally answered. Eren will be voiced by Bryce Papenbrook! Game&Comic was present for the premiere and even from just the above trailer, you can see that Bryce really nails the essence of Eren’s character. Papenbrook harnesses the anger Eren feels toward the titans with passion and intensity. The rest of the voice cast is also truly fantastic. It’s great to see McFarland and the rest of the producing cast taking such care and consideration into making an all-star lineup of voice actors.
For fun, the final question of the panel requested FUNimation to do a promo of the Attack on Titan premiere room doing the Survey Corps salute:
