Last week, a special Pokémon announcement has left fans in cheers, all supporting the #Pokemon20 anniversary:
20 years already? The Pokémon video game franchise is debatably the most prominent handheld video game ever created. In celebration of 20 wonderful years, and 718 Pokémon (and counting), there are several special 20th anniversary announcements on the way.
- Monthly Mythical Pokémon Giveaways– This is great, since Japan already receives an overwhelming majority of event characters, it will be fun having a new Pokémon to look forward to each month.
- Special Pokémon New 3DS Bundles– These look phenomenal. What a better way to honor a franchise than a truly classic console bundle. Although Pokémon
- New Trading Cards– Pokémon TCG: Generations and Pokémon TCG: Mythical Pokémon Collections will soon be in stores. Generations will act as an expansion to trading card game, and judging by the packaging, may be reminiscent of the original 151 Pokémon series. The Mythical line is also something to look forward to, where a new mythical card will be featured in packs each month.
- Digitally Remastered Movies: Pokémon: The First Movie and Pokémon: The Movie 2000, debatably the most popular installments of the film series, will be available in newly remastered forms.
- Merchandise: New figures and other merchandise will also be available at PokemonCenter!
