If you are like me, you have likely been dying to get your hands on a new Mew. Fortunately, as part of the 20 Years of Pokémon Celebration, February is dedicated to a truly fan favorite, Mew.

This event is valid at participating GameStop locations from February 1st to February 24th (or while supplies last). Unlike traditional Event giveaways, you have to pick up a free card with downloadable code from GameStop, so there is no need to bring your Nintendo 3DS to the actual store. Be sure to act quickly because once the downloadable cards are gone, the event is over for that location. Mew can be downloaded to either Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, or Pokémon Y.

Once downloaded, the Legendary Mew comes at Level 100, which is slightly disappointing as it would have been fun to train a low-level Mew. However, although already at a high level, Mew only knows the move Pound and has the Synchronize ability. This allows for great customization using TMs and HMs to make a unique Mew for your party, especially since Mew can learn any TM or HM in the entire game. Enjoy!
