This week Season One of Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D will premiere on Netflix. The show revolves around the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division or the secretive government agency introduced in The Avengers to investigate superhuman phenomena from Thor to Captain America.

Joss Whedon is the series executive producer. The show has been on the rise with popularity since it’s debut (currently on season two).

Last year, Netflix and Disney signed a multiyear deal where Marvel will develop four original live action series by 2015. The series will be based on four of Marvel’s fan favorite street-hero characters like Daredevil, then Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

S.H.I.E.L.D will streaming on Netflix November 20th.

Beginning today, Star Wars content will be available for the first time ever to Netflix customers in the U.S. and Canada.  The entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars saga will be available for streaming including director’s cut episodes and the feature film.  A sixth season titled The Lost Missions, will also debut featuring thirteen new episodes.

This fall is a big season for video games. August saw the release of Tranformers: Fall of Cybertron, the best rated Transformers video game of all time. One month later, Borderlands 2 came out, and wowed gamers with its improved storyline and in-depth FPS and RPG gameplay elements. And now gamers can enjoy Assassin’s Creed 3 and Halo 4, shortly followed by the release of the Wii U. With all these games (and more) to compete against, standing out from the crowd right now is, at the very least, an incredibly tough challenge to overcome. After playing the demo for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, however, I can confidently say that this is another game that everyone should keep and eye on, even with all the other big name titles sitting on store shelves.

The latest Disney animated movie is about a video game baddie who becomes good (with cameos by Zangief, Dr. Eggman, and even Bowser!) .
