Are you an experienced journalist that has always wanted to write for IGN? Well, now is your chance to submit your application to become a freelance journalist in the video game industry!
In a statement released from IGN, with just a few writing samples and some information about your experience, IGN is allowing submissions from the general public. They are also asking that you submit your Skype username, IGN username, email address, phone number, which time zone you’re in, and which days and hours you’re available during an average week (including weekends) to ign_newsfreelance@ign.com.
Along with your personal information, you are required to submit a small writing sample for all three of the following prompts

- Disney and EA Announce Multi-Year Star Wars Games Agreement
- Black Ops II Grosses $1 Billion In 15 Days
Who knows video games better than the fans that love them? This creative and fun recruitment method has been getting a lot of positive publicity. Breaking into the journalism world, especially into a company as popular as IGN is no easy feat, so we thing it is awesome that IGN has opened up the doors for anyone with experience to apply.
