A thousand apologies for the lack of posts lately. The staff at G&C has been pretty swamped with work and other summer-related activities. However! We are still doing our best to keep you up-to-date on the topics we are researching. I thought this would be a great time to go into a popular topic in the Marvel Universe called ‘Marvel NOW!‘
I think this video describes the sale in a nutshell. For those of you that frequent Reddit Gaming, then you have seen all praise being directed towards Steam, Valve, and Gabe Newell (Valve Coporation co-founder). In essence, Valve is putting on a huge summer video game sale, which will run from July 12th to July 22nd.

At ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Premiere!
For those of you that do not know, going to midnight movie premiers is actually one of my all-time favorite activities. There is always a really awesome atmosphere of fans that attend midnight showings and I can’t get enough of it. As an avid moviegoer, so of course I went to the midnight release of The Amazing Spider-Man. Here is my opinion of the reboot:

A the start of the blog, I posted about What is the ‘DC New 52’?. A Third Wave of DC New 52 comics was just announced, so I thought it would be good to give an overall listing of each Wave of comics, as well as all of the DC series that are being cut. To reiterate, DC will be keeping its comic reboot to 52 individual series. DC is cancelling and replacing the series that are not selling well, which is why the new replacements are coming in ‘waves’.

I think Nintendo described the 3DS conference perfectly in this tweet from @NintendoAmerica. Many of the other conferences took time explaining features available to the console (such as expanding Miiverse, PS Wonderbook, etc.), but Nintendo only talked about the games for the entirety of their conference. Well done! Although a debatable too much time was spent with gameplay of certain games, I am very satisfied with what Nintendo brought to the table. Although my socks were not knocked off by this conference, I think they did a great job showcasing the upcoming games and showing that a Nintendo 3DS is a worthy investment. While watching E3, they brought up a very important point regarding how mobile device games are on such a high rise with ‘casual gamers’.
I don’t know about you, but this entire situation drives me nuts. I love Angry Birds as much as the next guy, but in my head, it somewhat infuriates me that handheld gaming seems to be a dying art. Now, let me rage at the fact as to why handheld gaming has me so frustrated:

The Sony Conference has come to an end, and I think IGN has put it best. Whoa. I am very impressed with what PS3 brought to the table. After watching, here is what I am looking forward to the most (game trailers included)!
