Now that we are officially in 2013, and to keep up with our ‘Best of 2012’ blogs, I wanted to take a look back at the video games and comic books that made 2012 so awesome. In 2012, we saw some great video games, as well as some really big comic book events. The Wii U was released, DC’s New 52 is now in full force, and Marvel NOW! has continued to throw out some really big titles. Here is my breakdown of the ‘Best of 2012’:

A thousand apologies for the lack of posts lately. The staff at G&C has been pretty swamped with work and other summer-related activities. However! We are still doing our best to keep you up-to-date on the topics we are researching. I thought this would be a great time to go into a popular topic in the Marvel Universe called ‘Marvel NOW!‘

For those of you that do not know, going to midnight movie premiers is actually one of my all-time favorite activities. There is always a really awesome atmosphere of fans that attend midnight showings and I can’t get enough of it. As an avid moviegoer, so of course I went to the midnight release of The Amazing Spider-Man. Here is my opinion of the reboot:
Teen Titans is Back!

“When there’s trouble you know who to call…Teen Titans!” That was until 2006, when the popular kids television show was canceled.
But wait! The Titans returned in chibi form several months ago! They only existed as a small part of the DC Nation shorts, but fans were encouraged by this sudden revival that included all of the original voice actors. Maybe they’d revive the entire series?!
Well, turns out that is actually going to happen.
In 2013, new TV show Teen Titans Go! will debut as a part of the DC Nation block with all of the original voice actors.
More thoughts after the break!
DC Enters ‘Third Wave’ of New 52 Comics
Posted: June 12, 2012 by Ian Gaudreau in Comicology - Comic Books, DC ComicsTags: Comics, DC, DC New 52, First Wave, G&C, Second Wave, Sword of Sorcery, Talon, Team 7, The Phantom Stranger, Third Wave, What is the New 52?
A the start of the blog, I posted about What is the ‘DC New 52’?. A Third Wave of DC New 52 comics was just announced, so I thought it would be good to give an overall listing of each Wave of comics, as well as all of the DC series that are being cut. To reiterate, DC will be keeping its comic reboot to 52 individual series. DC is cancelling and replacing the series that are not selling well, which is why the new replacements are coming in ‘waves’.
