Only the best of the best characters in the unending science fiction TV series “Firefly”. QMx continues the Firefly saga in a new role-playing game and I swear by Mal’s pretty floral bonnet, it’s going to be great.

In January, Marvel will release a special issue of their best-selling book ‘Hawkeye’ as a tribute to the many inspiring acts of real-world heroism on display since Super Storm Sandy ravaged much of the East Coast. Matt Fraction, the writer of the ongoing series, promises to donate all of his royalties from the issue to the hurricane relief efforts by the American Red Cross. This is just the latest example of a charitable cause championed by the comics industry in recent years.

The annual New York Comic Con is now less than 22 days away, and I will be there live and in person at the Javits Center for the entire convention weekend. I will be journaling my adventures for you here on Gamenomics & Comicology, but it’s already the perfect time to start following what has become one of the world’s biggest comic conventions.
