Has anyone else been frustrated by this? Keep reading to see how DC took an awesome series and made it incredibly frustrating.

The annual New York Comic Con is now less than 22 days away, and I will be there live and in person at the Javits Center for the entire convention weekend. I will be journaling my adventures for you here on Gamenomics & Comicology, but it’s already the perfect time to start following what has become one of the world’s biggest comic conventions. Yesterday afternoon, NYCC unveiled its full panel schedule. In anticipation, let’s take a look at some of the awesome main attractions that have been announced.
Awesome video explains how every video game is somehow connected

This is something every gamer has to check out. Ever wonder if Samus could throw down with characters from the Dark Stalkers series? What about Mario fighting the Zurg from Starcraft? While these scenarios seem completely ridiculous and out of place, Youtube user Matthew Patrick finds a way to make it all make sense. Don’t believe me? See for yourself:
The Rocketeer Cargo of Doom #2 review
Posted: September 14, 2012 by Joel Kost in Comicology - Comic Books, IDWTags: Chris Samnee, IDW, Mark Waid, The Rocketeer
The Rocketeer is one of those comic book super hero series that fully embraces our silly, childhood fantasies. It takes outdated concepts and turns them into some of the greatest adventures ever to hit comics. Cargo of Doom #1 re-introduced both fans and newcomers of the series to the world of The Rocketeer, and it was one of the best comic books I read last month. The second issue of this series is no different, and continues to deliver the action, mystery, and laughs that The Rocketeer is so well-known and loved know for.

I have been waiting to write this blog for a while now and I am incredibly excited to finally tell the world about this adventure. This summer, I made it to the final round of a video game competition to win a car. To give a bit of background, I need to explain how it all got started. Around mid-March, I fell in love with a book written by Ernest Cline entitled Ready Player One.
Transformers Fall of Cybertron new Dinobot DLC is out now!

Transformers fans, your dream has finally come true: you can now play as the Dinobots on Fall of Cybertron multiplayer! Well, most of them, anyways. The Dinobot Destructor Pack which includes characters Slug, Grimlock, Snarl, and Swoop, allows player to customize their multiplayer characters using parts from the popular characters. While Sludge, the fifth member of the Dinobot team, is not included, High Moon Studios is “taking note of his surprisingly huge fan base.”
This is the second multiplayer DLC that has been released for Fall of Cybertron this month. The first, called the Multiplayer Havoc Pack, included Wheeljack (my personal favorite), Ultra Magnus, Blastoff, Perceptor and Zeta Prime. A third DLC, Massive Fury Pack, has also been announced for September 25. This pack includes Autobots Hound, G1 Optimus Prime (which was originally a pre-order bonus from Gamestop), and Insecticons Kickback, Hardshell, and Sharpshot.
Here’s the trailer for all three DLC packs:
Home is where the… Wait, I need more iron ingots.

Well, the latest expansion for Skyrim came out on the Xbox 360 this week: The home moding DLC “Hearthfire”. Non-PC gamers around the world rejoiced “Finally! We can create cool houses and epic hideouts too!” I myself was amongst the jovial chorus, so I happily shelled out five dollars and sat by my TV, face aglow, as it downloaded. And much like a child who opens a box on Christmas morning only to find it filled with socks, the result was not what I expected.

Meet Earth’s new Green Lantern, Simon Baz

As part of DC Comics’ much-publicized “Zero Month,” the publisher has recently released Green Lantern #0. The comic’s scribe, Geoff Johns, has been interviewed in numerous news outlets because this “zero issue” happens to introduce readers to an all new Green Lantern: an Arab-American from Dearborn, Michigan named Simon Baz. Thus far, Baz looks to be a worthy addition to the DC Universe.
Why you should be excited for ‘Dredd’

‘Dredd 3D,’ Lionsgate Films’ upcoming adaptation of the classic British 2000 AD comic series, looks much truer to the source material than did the 1995 flop ‘Judge Dredd’ starring Sylvester Stallone. Karl Urban dons the Judge’s helmet this time around, and he’s just one of many reasons you should be pumped for the new film.
