We see video game clones on the app store all the time. Whether they are based on triple A titles or other popular iOS games, you could probably find dozens upon dozens of rip-offs. This time, however, some one has stooped to a new low and created one of the most blatant Pokemon clones I have ever seen. Titled “Little Masters”, the player becomes “a master of monsters who captures and trains monsters to battle the others” (taken from the games description).

Relive Final Fantasy VII on your PC!
Posted: August 16, 2012 by Ian Gaudreau in Gamenomics - Video Games, Steam, PC, & Indie GamesTags: FF7, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII PC, PC
To put it bluntly, this is literally my favorite video game of all time. Although I have been begging for a remake for PS3 with up-to-date graphics, I am pumped that the game is now available for PC, so more gamers can enjoy an older classic game. I have been planning to do an additional blog that delves into my opinion of the Final Fantasy VII saga, but I wanted to get this message out as soon as possible. If you want to play an incredible game, I highly recommend picking this game up at the Square Enix Store as soon as you can. Final Fantasy VII is the epitome of a fantastic RPG. It has awesome characters, a storyline that is easy to follow (which is rare in most Final Fantasy games lately) and a great battle system that will surely keep you entertained.
Since Square Enix has just released the remake for PC, they are doing a promotion that makes the price only $9.99! At that price, you can’t beat the gameplay that you will get.
If you end up buying it, let us know and leave a comment! We would also love to hear from long-time FF7 fans!

A thousand apologies for the lack of posts lately. The staff at G&C has been pretty swamped with work and other summer-related activities. However! We are still doing our best to keep you up-to-date on the topics we are researching. I thought this would be a great time to go into a popular topic in the Marvel Universe called ‘Marvel NOW!‘
The Man of Steel trailers are here!
Posted: July 23, 2012 by Joel Kost in Comicology - Comic Books, DC Comics, Movies & TelevisionTags: Clark Kent, DC, Superman, Zack Snyder
Shown at the San Diego Comic-Con, 2013’s Man of Steel trailers are now available for your viewing pleasure! Both trailers show the same thing, but the first is voiced by Kevin Costner (who plays Jonathan Kent) and the second is voiced by Russell Crowe (who plays Superman’s biological father, Jor-El). Based on both previews, it seems that this Superman film will focus heavily on who Clark is as an individual, as Costner says, “One day you’re gonna have to make a choice. You have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Who that man is, good character of bad, he is going to change the world.”
I’m looking forward to this new direction that director Zack Snyder is taking to the Superman film franchise. Making a movie about a super hero who can do anything is no easy task; it doesn’t leave room for many surprises. Focusing on what Superman stands for, rather than what he can do, will be a nice change of pace, and I truly hope that Snyder can deliver the experience that all fans of the man of steel have been dying for.

I think this video describes the sale in a nutshell. For those of you that frequent Reddit Gaming, then you have seen all praise being directed towards Steam, Valve, and Gabe Newell (Valve Coporation co-founder). In essence, Valve is putting on a huge summer video game sale, which will run from July 12th to July 22nd.
Pokemon Conquest review: one of the best crossovers I’ve ever played
Posted: July 12, 2012 by Joel Kost in Gamenomics - Video Games, NintendoTags: DS, Nintendo, Nobunaga, Nobunaga's Ambition, Pokemon, Pokemon Conquest, Tecmo Koei
When word got out that the two franchises Pokemon and Nobunaga’s Ambition would be collaborating on a project, no one knew what to expect. Pokemon is all about collecting and raising hundreds of monsters in a journey to be the very best Pokemon trainer. Nobunaga’s Ambition, however, focuses on turn based strategic combat in an attempt to unify feudal Japan. Could two such different games such as these successfully mesh together? The answer is yes. Pokemon Conquest is the change of pace that Pokemon fans have been waiting for. By taking the qualities that make both series so lovable, Nintendo and Tecmo Koei were able to deliver one of the best gaming experiences on the DS. Read the rest of this entry »
